Business/Construction Litigation Paralegal
Prior to joining Harpst Ross, Michele spent her legal career at one of Ohio’s largest and oldest law firms. Although Michele’s litigation experience has included the areas of risk management and liability defense, product liability, professional liability, toxic tort, insurance coverage and general commercial disputes her real expertise is in providing litigation support to complex construction claims. Michele works exclusively with the firm’s principals providing litigation support on the firm’s largest construction claims files.
Michele is a member of the Akron Bar Association, Paralegal Committee a member of NALA, The Association of Legal Assistants-Paralegals, and a Notary Public. Michele enjoys volunteering and advocating for children with disabilities and their families with extensive and personal experience with children with disabilities within the autism spectrum.
Relying on almost 30 years of legal experience, Susan leads the Firm’s local and national commercial account collection practice where she provides a full range of paralegal services to the Firm’s clients. She began her career with veteran Akron lawyer John A. Daily, with whom she has worked the majority of her career, most recently with the Firm’s predecessor Daily Harpst, ltd. Susan is able to use her experience and extensive knowledge of collection procedures to assist the Firm’s attorneys in consistently obtaining substantial monetary recoveries for the Firm’s clients. Susan is also responsible for coordinating commercial collection litigation with the Firm’s national network of qualified attorneys to whom the Firm refers cases outside of Ohio. This allows Firm clients a single source with whom to place their national accounts for collection, where Susan can leverage the Firm’s network of local attorneys on behalf of our clients.
Susan lives in Green with her son Jared, and enjoys volunteering and advocating for homeless animals. Her family also includes her dog, Moose, and 5 cats – all former strays.
Business Litigation Paralegal
Michelle brings almost 30 years of business and construction litigation experience to our Firm. She started her legal career with John Ross in Canton, Ohio, and over the years has worked in bankruptcy, corporate governance, trusts & estates, real estate and general litigation. For the past 18 years, Michelle’s main focus has been paralegal litigation support in large, complex business and construction claims. She is a Notary Public and member of the Stark County Bar Association. Michelle lives in Massillon with her sons Tyler and Trent.
